Positive: It was exactly as we hoped in what felt like the middle of nowhere with great views but still not far to the closest town Borgarnes for BBQ supplies. Very spacious, cozy and warm on arrival. Directions and info for access were perfect. The patio and bbq were great to use. Nice to be left to ourselves and enjoy the time with no check in check out routines needed. Top base to explore the west Snaefellsness peninsula. Close to the elf village where I would highly recommend you leave them a peace offering treat. I left biscuits and we had the best weather and no worries our entire trip! We even got to see the northern lights on our very first try. Great first impression of Iceland

Negative: The front door was a little difficult to open at first with the key. WiFi information was conflicting but sorted quickly. Maybe the only thing missing to make this the perfect place is a hot tub!

Summary: Great base for the west. Clear views, cozy and northern lights

Positive: Amazing views, easy check in and host was very responsive!!

Negative: A little small for a large group. We had 5 people and it was quite tight.

Positive: The cottage was lovely and the views were amazing, loved the extra space with 3 adults and 1 child. The shower water pressure was good, and having a kitchenette was helpful.

Negative: The place was little hard to find, but it was our own fault. When google maps doesn't match the locals, go with the locals! Blackout curtains on the windows would be useful to not wake up with the 4am-ish sunrise.

Positive: Location was nice. It was quiet and peaceful. The facilities in the kitchen were ok.

Negative: It wasn’t at all clean. It was also in need of some renovation. The main window needs replacing, some dangerous screws on show and just bits of the place are falling apart. It really just needs some love

Positive: The location was really quiet. Literally in the middle of nowhere. You see from the windows the vast fields, mountains and horses. Nite that the road is bumpy a lot and 4x4 worked great. It is spacious, 6 people can sleep, 3 bedrooms. We had issues with the radiators and staff supported immediately. Kitchen was well equipped.

Negative: I will put in bullets everything; - hot water/heat machine is a bit noisy; - oven was extremely dirty! When i turned it on it started smoking from the dirt being burnt; - no hooks in the bathroom! You need to use the door handle; - one of the shelves in the fridge had sth sticky spilled and i had to clean it in order to use it. Also, aomw old sause was left; - curtains were fully stained with yellow spots; - dish soap was diluted with water and was highly liquity; - hand soap was almost gone in the bathroom; - radiators were really dusty; - towels had stains; - brush for the dishes in the kitchen was dirtly and full with hairs; - no blinds in the living room; - floor was not as clean as expected; - when we entered, radiators were at low power and wirking like 1/4 of the body. Seemed like nobody came to check considering it was pretty cold outside. Either way, staff reacted fast; - the house looked like it was cleaned like months ago and nobody came before our stay; - no oil, sugar, keep that in mind.

Summary: Property has great idea but is depreciated a lot and needs more care and update.
