Positive: Staying at Hesla Farm was like traveling several hundred years back in time, only we were lucky enough to have a slightly more modern kitchen, heating system and bathroom! Fresh warm bread, jam, fruit and newly hatched eggs were served every morning- just remember to ask if the eggs are raw or boiled!! Warm and accommodating hosts. I admire their desire and ability to restore a part of Norwegian architectural history.

Negative: Our bed was a little hard but our host bought a new matress the next day and we slept like princesses the next night!

Negative: As we were there in September- no breakfast was served. When we arrived, we couldn’t locate the owner to get the key, waited about a half hour.
