Positive: The place is excellent; it is a calm and recharging retreat. The decoration, ambience, furniture, and pool are of very good taste and in sync with the proposal. The cherry on top is the Michelin restaurant and wines; they are simply amazing.

Negative: I think the room staff should be better equipped and trained for the high-standard hotel service they suggest. Reception and management are good, but Miguel, who was in charge of serving us in the suites, etc., was very grumpy and treated us poorly. This definitely affected our experience. Breakfast should also be improved. The bread was not very good, and there were few healthy options. We loved the yogurt (but we asked for it, they didn't offer it, and it was over in a day).

Positive: A very unique setting surrounded by beautiful nature. The rooms are well designed, the common areas are stunning, and fresh flower bouquets add a charming touch throughout. Breakfast was delicious, the pool water crystal clear and refreshing. The wine tour and tasting were also excellent. The wines are excellent too ☺️

Negative: Everything was lovely!

Positive: The property is a bit off the beaten path (which we loved)- it was SO WORTH IT! What an amazing and memorable stay. From the minute we arrived at HMN to the moment we departed- the staff was amazing... so nice and accommodating. Everyone that we interacted with seemed very proud and happy to work at HMN. The history about HMN and the owners were so interesting... it made my friends and I want to cheer them on for continued success in preserving such a beautiful estate. Each of us received our own personalized high quality cotton pillow case- A nice and special personal touch. HMN offers so many activities that you can choose from, ranging from pottery class to horseback riding tours to vineyard tour with a picnic. The food options were 5-Stars. Breakfast at our villa was delicious – you can choose to sit family style with other guests or in front of the huge fireplace or poolside. Dinner was amazing at HMN restaurant – be sure to leave room for dessert! Unfortunately, we had a tight schedule and could only stay for 2 days. I hope to return for another visit with my family. Definitely will recommend HMN to all our friends that plan to visit Portugal.

Positive: Wonderful estate, great winery tour, massage/spa, the pool. The food was the best part! Absolutely delicious. Martina was a wonderful server too.

Negative: The room was quite small, air conditioning not strong enough so it was way too hot, staff made quite a lot of errors and were not accommodating

Positive: The venue is excellent for someone to disconnect and be in nature 24/7. The food was outstanding as well the amazing wine. Pedro was an amazing waiter for us as well. The kids enjoyed the animals, the wine tasting tour was very nice as well. Amazing venue away from the city rush. We got upgraded due to a AC issue, the whole team was amazing in accomodating us.

Negative: The overpriced activities. All experiences are amazing for us and kids, but the prices for each was too unreasonably high.

Positive: The staff in the Terracotta property we were in were very helpful and charming, without them the stay would have been unbearable. Breakfast was good and provided in the accommodation by the friendly and helpful staff.

Negative: Restaurant was nearly 3 kilometres from our room, the road was gravel and very , very dusty if you took the buggy provided you would be covered in a fine dust! That’s on top of the bumpy and in parts corrugated surface! We had to use room service as we couldn’t face the marathon to the restaurant, so in consequence the food for dinner was cold and on two occasions there were no staff to help out .

Summary: Never again!! Don’t know how this got the Relais Chateaux rating!
