You're walking into what was once just a dream of mine. I've always loved Nafplio and thought it is one of the most beautiful places to be. One day, I took a leap forward and bought this house. Many months after... planning, upgrading, renovating... I am still looking at it and congratulate myself for the decision. As I am living somewhere else in Greece, I am trying out holiday renting in the hope that my home will make people at least as happy as it makes me every time I am there.
The house is very spacious. This is what I most liked about it. 140 sqm.
3 bedrooms with large wardrobe spaces, 1 bathroom with shower, living room, dining area + equipped new kitchen & desk area for working remotely. Free parking in the garden for 2 cars.
Free WiFi, 2 powerful and new air conditioning units (one in living room and the other in the main bedroom), 2 ceiling fans for the other 2 bedrooms, gas heating with radiators in all rooms for colder periods, a very strong log burner in the living room with wood on the house(jackie), shutters for all windows, mosquito nets (coming soon).
Washing machine, iron & ironing board, gas cooker with oven, microwave. A large and very nicely equipped kitchen (everything is new, as the kitchen was rebuilt from scratch in 2023). Outdoor gas bbq (we call it "the beast").
An extra single fold-up bed is available in case needed, to accommodate a 7th person without charge. A baby cot with linen & high chair are available free of charge.
The terrace is almost as big as the house... And the best thing about it is the roof because you can linger in the shade during hot days and shelter even on rainy days (which we don't get many). One of the reasons I bought a property in the Peloponnese is the magnificent weather all year long. You can also get your laptop there and work remotely in open air with a garden view.
The plot is fully fenced. I share my life with 2 little furry friends + a not as furry husband. I wouldn't want them to escape when we come in Nafplion, but they are free to roam around as much as they want to :) I am not living there, just visiting from time to time, so the guests enjoy the full property for themselves.
The plot is almost 1.000 sqm and about half of it is an olive grove with 22 olive trees. We are still hoping we will learn how to care for the olive trees, so that we can make some olive oil of our own someday.
2 orange trees, 1 lemon tree and a walnut that give us fruit. The walnut is especially handy, as it creates shade for the picnic area. This is what Bwana (the big gorilla in the pictures) is "guarding".
