Positive: Lodge was great with comfortable room, excellent buffet dining room facility and small swimming pool to cool off in between excursions. The highlights are the 2-3 times daily excursions which really make the high cost absolutely worth it. Our guide, Alfredo, was amazing, bi-lingual, sensitive to the local environment and even played the guitar over dinner and breakfast!

Negative: Only downside really is the fact that there is only 1 included boat time to the lodge and back from Iquitos. We had to pay $180 extra for a personal boat because LatAm airlines brought our flight forward - not the lodge's fault, but something to look out for.

Summary: The perfect way to experience the Amazon jungle!

Positive: Excellent communication and organisation (thanks Lizeth), friendly and professional staff. The tour includes pick up and drop off (from the airport or hotel) and transport to the lodge by boat. Great food and accommodation, very clean everywhere, exceptional facilities like pool and showers (which shouldn't be taken for granted in the jungle). Also great guides and tours, saw pink dolphins, monkeys, sloths, tarantulas, and many other animals and plants (e.g. victoria amazonica). Also stayed overnight in the Victoria Regia Hotel in Iquitos upon arrival. Can recommend, as the pickup for the boat is at 9, so there's plenty of time to enjoy the breakfast!

Negative: The portions sizes were too big but that's how we found everything in Peru.
