Positive: The dining area and by the fireplace was great. Good place to sit and read. The employees were all great to work with and pleasant, accommodating and welcoming. The room was pretty old in its decor and furniture, but good in its size. Would have preferred a queen sized bed but none were available. The bathroom and shower were really small and dark, but it looks like some of those have been renovated and are quite nice. Noce grounds and easy parking right outside the room.

Negative: See above about the outdated decor and furniture and the small and dark bathroom and shower.

Summary: Overall, pleasant and we would stay here again, especially if we get a queen bed and renovated bath.

Positive: Great spot, super convenient to Southeast Train Sta, to NYC. Next to excellent Mexican restaurant. A favorite place of ours.

Negative: We wish there were lamps on the bedside tables instead of just overhead lighting.

Negative: There seemed to be some electrical issues for keeping hot water pot available for morning tea.

Positive: Friendly staff. Clean comfortable beds. Nice complimentary coffee and breakfast in a bright, cozy common area with a lovely huge fireplace and huge windows too!

Negative: The comfortable room #8 was dated. Light fixture in the bathroom was very odd! It was totally wrong! It shone straight out the bathroom onto the back window side bed like a spotlight instead of a simple gooseneck style above the nice large mirror and standard size pedestal sink. The dated bathroom had no shelving nor hooks for accessories to be placed. Some practical updates are due. The TV was situated on the dresser but only visible from the bed nearest the entry door. It would be better wall mounted above the apartment size fridge so both beds could view. And the small microwave would be easy to be placed on the large dresser along with an added in room coffee maker. Maybe next time we come that would be much appreciated!

Positive: We showed up to check in at almost 2am and they were so nice about it. Our room was so spacious and clean. Breakfast was good and the staff was so friendly. I felt at home. Now I have a place to stay when I visit NY.

Negative: Nothing to complain about.

Summary: My whole experience was amazing. I will be back.
