Positive: Out in country which we liked. Looked well stocked although we only used fridge(which had cracked bottom shelf) kettle and toaster. Was clean, lovely bathroom.

Negative: Had quite a few mouse droppings although never saw a mouse. Was glad we had brought couple of throws with us as settee could be renewed as was pretty grubby.

Summary: Ideal for what we needed. Never saw anyone else but had a phone number if needed.

Positive: Pretty, easy to find even though in the countryside. Comfy bed, comfy sofa, pleasant outdoors area.

Negative: Where do I start? When we arrived we went in after 3pm as requested. I went into the bedroom and was very surprised to see the bed linen on top of the unmade bed. They were a bit creased and not folded very well. So I set to and made up the bed. In the bathroom, the towels were all messed up and not folded. The waste bin in the kitchen had a bit of rubbish still in it. The next day, a lady turned up - she said she was there to clean and were we due to come the next day? Of course I said no. Did she want to see my booking email. She phoned her boss to check what had happened, there was clearly a cock up. She told me that she would clean if I wanted. To be honest, my husband was unwell and I didn’t want to start all over again. She told me the owner would call in to see me. They never came. A very strange experience indeed in an otherwise lovely break for a few days. I’m unsure I would return due to this complete mess up. The only other comment I would make was there was very little in the way of cutlery and plates in the kitchen.

Summary: Pretty cottage, nice site where it is set, nice to sit outside too.

Negative: Just the job not working

Positive: Everything was perfect except there’s no border on the garden for the dog but it was a minor inconvenience I just had to watch him and I still had a great time

Negative: Just the fact the garden wasn’t closed off

Summary: It was so peaceful I really enjoyed it and the cottage was lovely
