Travel Purpose: business

Positive: We stayed in a lovely small wooden cabin just a few meters from the river — a perfect countryside getaway. The place was very clean and well-maintained, and the host was exceptionally welcoming. The cabin has both heating and a traditional wood-burning stove, as well as all the necessary kitchen utensils. There is also a cozy loft area arranged as a sleeping space for two people. The ladder to the loft is quite steep and narrow, so it’s good to keep that in mind, especially when traveling with children. The location is great: Strasbourg is only about a 30-minute drive away, making it easy to visit the city while still enjoying the peace and quiet of nature.

Negative: The only tiny “mystery” of the stay was the creaky floor in the loft where the mattress is. It can be a bit annoying at first — the floor definitely has its own personality! 😊 But honestly, that was the only thing that slightly bothered me.

Summary: A peaceful countryside stay in a cozy riverside cabin, with easy access to Strasbourg.
