Summary: Room is big and clean. However air conditioning or some electrical equipment was pretty noisy. I could hear the some echoing sounds all night. It waked me night a couple times. I asked other customer in the same building. She said she couldn’t sleep at all🙁

Summary: Traditional Japanese-style resort hotel. The room was very spacious and comfortable (we chose beds instead of tatami). The service was very good, with clear explanations provided. There are two public bath options on-site, both excellent and separated by gender. We didn’t choose the kaiseki dinner due to the high price — and we regretted it. We tried to book it on the same day, but the reservation cutoff time had passed. We went out to find dinner in the area, but most restaurants close very early (8 PM) and there are very few options. We ended up going to a convenience store and bought food to eat in the room — which was also a lovely experience. We ended the night at the hotel bar with some warm sake (no food available there, just a few small snacks). Important tip: there’s nothing in the town itself — the resorts are the main attraction. We hadn’t realized that before, and it’s something important to consider when planning your trip and meals. For our trip, one night was enough. It’s not something we would repeat, as it’s not a priority for us — but it was worth it for the bathing experience. (We only used the hotel baths — we didn’t go to the public ones in town, as we didn’t think it was necessary to pay for something that was already available at the hotel and most likely better.)

Summary: Quiet and quaint accommodation. Onsen is 24/7. Makes it easy for us to plan about our day. Staff were welcoming and the food options nearby is surprisingly good.

Summary: The facilities weee once bustling and grand. They’ve updated rooms. My room upon approach was difficult to find and dark. When I opened the door it was like a furnace of heat. The room faces the sun and they left the curtains open so it was unbearably hot. I couldn’t even enter. I had to turn on the AC for several hours before it was bearable. If they had only kept the curtains closed then it would have saved al the energy needed to cool the room. There’s nothing to do around the resort on Mondays. No restaurants or even convenience stores are nearby. The town is dead. Bring your own snacks or avoid Mondays. The baths are great. The service is great. But the location is strange and in an economically depressed community.

Summary: I would get the private onsen room if possible because of the convenience and the privacy. The public onsen was amazing if you don’t mind the nakedness and if your comfortable in your own skin.the rooms are quite and the area is less populated. I could hear my own thoughts and I didn’t like it at first but later got used to it and really enjoyed my stay. there’s a lot of eating option my group had a whole sushi bar to ourself. I would recommend staying again
