Summary: My stay at the Haslett House was a total delight. Paul, who runs this bed and breakfast, is a gracious and generous host. I was fascinated by his stories about how he bought the house and about his work to create a beautiful period setting from the late 1800's when the house was built. He pours love into the property and it shows. He is still in process with the exterior as he brings it up to his very high standards. The interior is well-appointed with countless treasures I only stayed one night but would have been happy for more. I slept well, enjoyed the delicious breakfast made to order and loved seeing an Amish horse and buggy drive by in the morning when I looked out the bedroom window. I am spreading the word about this hidden gem. It is only 20 minutes from Cooperstown and numerous other fun tourist attractions in the area.

Summary: Our host Paul is an exceptional host: welcoming, interesting and generous. Breakfasts were delicious and superb: many choices and prepared individually. Our guest room was spacious and very comfortable. The bed linens were luxurious. The hotel is an elegant Victorian house with gorgeous original fireplaces and staircases. It and the grounds are in the process of being restored. But while the exterior is not pristine this does not detract from the overall ambiance or experience. Wonderful stay and highly recommend.

Summary: Hadley House was a wonderful experience. The owner greeted us warmly and showed us around, explained some of the history of the home. It has gorgeous woodwork, antique furniture, and the king suite is spacious and comfortable. Every need was met and breakfast was delicious. The extra large cast iron enamel tub was divine. Highly recommended.

Summary: The Haslett Hpuse is an absolute gem. This historic house is so steeped in history. Staff is amazing and does everything to make you feel at home, if not part of the family. Breakfast was great and totally made to our order and preferences. The town has a lot of history as well. Any of the few shops and businesses are within easy walking distance. My wife and I stayed here before our visit to Cooperstown. If we are ever in this region of NY again, we will surely stay at Haslett House!

Summary: A historic home with a fabulous collection of collections in the parlor, dining room and living room. The rooms are thoughtfully decorated and have period furnishings and comfortable bed and sitting area. The stained glass and woodwork in the home is wonderful. We especially loved the seating nook with circular moulding around it- gorgeous. A menu is provided for breakfast ahead of time so guests can choose their options. The gracious host serves breakfast. The exterior of the home is getting a completely new paint job - can’t wait to see the new colors! This is a place to stay for a memorable and comfortable visit with a nod to the 1880’s. Fort Plain has a setting of the early days of Upstate New York and there are several good eateries within walking distance We would definitely revisit this Bed and Breakfast

Summary: We joyed our stay at the Haslett Inn! Paul was great host! It was very nice, clean, and quite. Very beautiful house. We had a wonderful breakfast made by Paul. We hope to come back again some day! If you have never stayed here before you should! Thanks Paul forever thing!

Summary: The Haslett House is a beautiful historical property! We very much enjoyed our stay here. The corner bedroom was quite spacious and the bed very comfortable. The owner is a super nice guy and his breakfast is second to none. Overall this is the best B & B that we have ever stayed in.
