Summary: I really wanted to love this place. It is a great idea and concept but the execution leaves much to be desired. And, frankly, for the price, I expected way more! First, there is no one on site which is fine IF the code we were given had worked on the door. It did not. I called all of the numbers listed and left voicemails, I text, I sent messages through messenger and via Hotels.com. It took Amber almost an hour to call me back. Then, the master/generic code she gave didn’t work either. We were then told to move across the hall to another unit. We were finally able to get into the new unit. The pictures are exactly as shown and the unit is unique and charming. However, there were issues. First, the floor is filthy. And, I made the mistake of looking under the bed which I don’t think has ever been cleaned. The bed is not comfortable and the sheets don’t fit properly. I think they were meant for a smaller bed. As for towels, we were given 2 regular size; 2 hand; and, 1 wash cloth. That was not enough and they smelled. We went to Walmart and bought our own towels and wash cloths. We were not given enough toilet paper either and what was in the bathroom was terribly cheap one ply. We were able to get one extra roll from a lady who was at the property on Saturday apparently cleaning a vacant unit. Next, the thermostat did not appear to work. Many other things that I can (hopefully) list later.

Summary: We came to Hartwell for a long weekend to see ByWater Call at the High Cotton Music Hall, right down the street, and also celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary. This property is very convenient to the venue and to the restaurants we ate at. It’s a neat place, lights, fan, and sound machine were on upon arrival which was welcoming (no windows in this unit so it is pitch black without lights on). We had a bit of an issue with not much toilet paper and a missing TV remote. Both were taken care of promptly after notifying management. We also ran out of body wash in the dispenser (mid-shower) which wasn’t noticed until after management was contacted about the other issues. We were not going to be there much longer so we didn’t bother saying anything. For the most part the place was clean however the wash cloths looked like someone had cleaned the floors with them. You could tell they had been laundered but looked nasty and the towels were stained as well. We would definitely consider staying here again due to the proximity to the things we go to Hartwell for.

Summary: AC did not work and the room was not clean upon arriving. Super cute atmosphere and close to everything downtown Hartwell but it was hard to get past how hot the room was.

Summary: Nice little spot, but the room was too warm. Thermostat said it was set to 61 but it felt like it was 70+

Summary: Amber was the one that helped us check in and she was incredible! The rooms were nicely appointed and the location was well thought out.

Summary: My family and I were out visiting during a trip to see relatives and it was the perfect size and met all our needs. The only thing that was bothersome were the fruit flys or “gnats” that were in the rooms. The cleanliness was top notch overall.

Summary: Cute downtown industrial style boutique motel. More like an airbnb. No one onsite. It was cozy. Right in the center of town with restraunts and shopping. Key pad was a little tricky at first. Took a bit to contact someone. The phone number invalid on website. Good for a short stay.
