This beautiful colonial home, which sits on 32 acre goat farm
future winery and vineyard (hopefully opening spring 2025), includes 5 spacious bedrooms and 3 updated bathrooms. There is a newly renovated eat-in kitchen plus a large living room with lovely original fireplaces. There are 2 bedrooms on the first floor. The second floor master suite includes a large master bath with clawfoot tub and dressing room. Outside there is a screened-in gazebo with a dining table and gas fire table, a patio with a grill, and a large wood fire pit.

Summary: This house is amazing and great for large families. We definitely hope to come back and even possibly rent the smaller house on the same property as well. Our group was 10 adults and this house worked out great for a wedding weekend as the venue was about 15 minutes away. Incredible kitchen which was updated nicely with everything you might need while the rest of the house had so much original charm. Megin and Woody (the owners) couldn't have been any more responsive or nicer to us and took care of any issues we had during our stay. They let us feed the goats and livestock as well as giving us the history of this incredible house built in 1751 as well as their future plans to turn it into a vineyard. They made recommendations on some local wineries and even provided us a bottle of one of their wines to try. The yard and grounds were pristine and so peaceful especially the pond. We played some horseshoes and yard games as well as enjoyed the outdoor fire pit one night. Pinot their dog who lives with the goats, was an absolute rock star and the cutest. 10 out of 10 for this house/property and would highly recommend checking it out.

Summary: We had an incredible stay at Hanover Vineyards. The house is full of historic charm, and very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was impressively well stocked, and the host was both responsive and accommodating. You can truly feel the care and attention that goes into making your stay enjoyable. The grounds are beautiful, and we loved spending time with the animals on the farm. It was the perfect weekend getaway!

Summary: The check-in process could not be simpler! This home easily accommodated our group of 9 for an annual family vacation. The fully-stocked kitchen was a joy to work in, and there was plenty of room for 3 cooks to work at once. The huge fire pit was a hit with our s'mores lovers, and the large screen house provided a pest-free outdoor dining area. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Summary: The house was more than I expected, even having read the glowing reviews. The kitchen is well equipped, well stocked and has a well lit spacious cooking area adjacent to a large dining area, great for accommodating the whole family for breakfast and dinner. From the kitchen, there are views of the stunning garden from every window and door. We had nine adults in the house and we never felt crowded or lacked for an available bathroom. The beds and bedding were comfortable, the bedrooms had original authentic architectural features. The decor was in keeping with the period of the house, no lace or faux country trappings. We loved the animals, the pond, the walks through the well cared for property. We couldn't have imagined a more perfect place to stay while attending our festive, picnic wedding celebration with family in nearby Scotland.

Summary: This house is very comfortable and relaxing. It is quiet and rural. The grounds are picturesque. It is close to the shore and Connecticut River attractions, as well as hiking trails, farm stands, and dairy farm ice creme shops. There were 9 of us in the house and we all had a great time. The house is almost a destination in itself. We are planning to go back next year.

Summary: Hanover Vineyards is a true gem. The house is beautiful, with so much attention to detail. The Colonial charm is evident everywhere, but it has all of the modern conveniences, too. We loved the gardens, the horseshoe pit and walking up to see Pete, the goats, chickens, ducks and turkeys. The Welcome Book is so informative - there are dozens of great things to do close by. Megin (the owner) was so nice and helpful. We'll definitely be back!

Summary: Three generations had a wonderful time staying at Hanover Vineyards. The house was comfortable and well-appointed, and the host friendly, accessible and accommodating. The grandchildren enjoyed feeding the goats and chickens, and fell in love with Pete, the property’s special Great Pyrenees cohost. Highly recommend!
