Positive: Gorgeous, tranquil setting. The free ferry to and from. Lovely to cross the water.

Negative: The only thing was lighting. I would have loved a bedside light and lighting in the seating area outside to be able to read at night.

Positive: This guest house is a little slice of paradise nestled on an island in the Nile… a truly magnificent experience. Abdullah is always available to take you by boat wherever you want and to arrange activities on the spot, depending on what you feel like doing (for example: Abu Simbel, Philae Temple). I 100% recommend it! personally, I don’t think there’s anything better in Aswan.

Positive: This accomodation was certainly the highlight of our trip to Egypt! Staying with a family on an island in the middle of the Nile is such a unique experienece, we enjoyed Aswan a lot! The hosts were really kind, and always available to bring us anywhere we wanted to go by boat.

Positive: Its a small island and the space is clean. If you do not want to cross the river time and again, you can definitely consider this location. But if you’re someone who has to do back and forth or stay out late than it’s an issue because you have the dependency on the owner of the island to get you back to the place from the dock. Staff is kind and helpful. Had cats and goats around!

Negative: That we have the dependency on the owner. They usually do not have electricity in the mid-day so if you’re someone who is there to relax, it will be an issue without electricity and wifi. An AC should be installed in all rooms.

Summary: Good depending on the type of stay!
