Our Cabin on Belden Pond is just the place for a romantic escape, solitary retreat, or gathering place for family and friends. As you drive down the lane to the cabin you will leave behind the hustle of life and enter the solitude of this wifi-free, solar powered refuge. The hand hewn logs accommodate an open-style living space that possesses a unique charm with a comfortable, eclectic mix of vintage and hand crafted furnishings and accents inspired by nature. Two bedrooms sleep six with additional bunk space for children and a full bath with a custom walk-in shower.
However delightful you may find the interior, be sure to let the woods and water lure you outside. Situated on rugged ledges overlooking the pond, our cabin is surrounded by woods with a flag stone patio that extends via stone path to the edge of the water and dock. Make “coffee on the rocks” or a sunrise swim part of your morning routine. After exploring the woods or adventuring out of the valley, finish your day by a cozy fire in the outdoor pit or an evening paddle. The Cabin is currently available from June to October. For larger reunions or couples wanting separate accommodations, we have the Wright Camp, also ready for guests, just down the trail from the cabin. This camp sleeps four (one full bed, two twins or one king) with a full bath, kitchen, exterior deck, and open view with easy access to the pond.

Summary: Stay was great. It was in a remote area of the the state and extremely quiet. The pond made for a gorgeous view right out the back door of the property.

Summary: Our host was wonderful! Very helpful with anything we had questions about, gave us info on good places to eat and visit. John’s Ice Cream to die for! The property was exactly as pictured. Immaculate! Comfortable beds. An all around beautiful setting in the Maine woods, quiet, peaceful, just exactly what we were hoping for! Thank you so much Pam and Dale.

Summary: What an absolutely perfect few days we just experienced. The beautiful tucked-away cabin greeted us with with an invitation to absolutely unwind and take in this slice of peace. We took advantage of the beautiful, pictures-don’t-do-justice views of the pond and surrounding woods, and just sat on the patio listening to music by the fire for the majority of our stay. We toured the pond with the provided beautiful wooden canoe with our min pins, who discovered what an echo was (that was fun!), took a dip in the near 80 degree crystal clear water, and took the kayaks down the inlet through lily pads, purple flowers, and bumble bees to see the amazing beaver dam. The cabin had everything we could need, all the kitchen needs to make meals, extremely cozy and comfortable bed, and the craftsmanship of every wooden detail was fun to keep discovering along the way. If the no-wifi is worrying, we had plenty of cell reception the whole weekend to send an email here or there, make a FaceTime call, and stream music through Bluetooth speakers the whole trip, even when it rained. We took a quick day trip to the coast and drove through Belfast and Camden, absolutely beautiful coastal views and villages to visit, highly recommend that! Overall, we cannot believe our luck finding this rental somewhat last minute. Pam was great to communicate with and left great recommendations and instructions. Don’t sleep on this rental, the reviews say it all-it is a dream and we will definitely be back!!

Summary: The pictures do not do this place justice! It’s a gorgeous solar cabin that’s beautifully designed. We loved our quiet and relaxing stay there. The pond is great for a swim if you don’t mind some grass and lily pads - which we did not! Highly recommend!!

Summary: Our three year old affectionately dubbed this place "the Treehouse" and both being in the woods and so beautifully crafted from them it was fitting. We were all enamored with this spot - the beautiful lake, the private spot with the nature surprises abounding (baby robins, loons, chipmunks, all provided squeals of delight from both our kiddos), the canoe ride and swimming were a definite highlight, as were the perpetual smores and grilling in the gorgeous weather. Whether a family, a couple, or visiting solo you wouldn't be disappointed in this place. It is the perfect retreat. (Not to mention less than half an hour from Belfast which was also a wonderful day trip to have the coastal experience, right down the road from John's IceCream which may have been the best ice cream we've ever had, and Wild Grace Farm was a delight dine in or take out!)

Summary: The cabin truly does not disappoint. Awesome cabin craftsmanship in a beautiful setting... pictures truly do not give it justice. I can't wait to bring my kids back to the cabin some day! I know they would love it just as much as we did. We frequented Tobey's, a store about 10 minutes away, you can get all groceries including produce and deli, there is takeout pizza/breakfast, you can get gas for the car, and they also sell wine/beer. We took a couple trips to Belfast which is about 30 minute drive. I loved seeing the sail boats, getting coffee and walking through all the neat shops. This cabin is wonderful for quiet time in nature and would also be a great spot to spend quality family time. Pam and Dale couldn't be any nicer and will make sure you are 100% settled and comfortable.
