Summary: The hosts Rena and Derek are very welcoming and friendly. The bedroom we stayed in was clean and spacious, and we found the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was well cooked and plentyfull

Summary: We had a great stay at Hamilton House – very friendly owners, spotlessly clean property, large comfortable rooms and a great breakfast. Really useful having the car park at the back for our motorcycles, out of sight and under cameras. 15 minute walk in to town. Dumfries is a great base for exploring the area, highly recommended, we will be back!

Summary: We had booked for a 3 night stay - the owners were very welcoming and helpful - the breakfasts were fine, if slightly limited in choice e.g. no black pudding or hash browns and only grapefruit segments or prunes to start - what there was was excellent though - the room on the whole was good, although the chairs were not too comfortable and rather low - the en suite was a little restricted in terms of space to store items etc, but otherwise acceptable - overall it was very acceptable for 3 nights, but I was pleased we hadn't booked a longer stay - so whilst there were a few downsides, overall the accommodation etc was very good for a 3 night stay

Summary: The hotel was easy to find. We were arriving late in the evening, so notified the proprietor who messaged us back with a code to access a key and our room. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast the next morning was delicious and plentiful. the hosts were friendly and welcoming, even though our was a brief overnight stay. We would certainly stay here again.

Summary: My stay at Hamilton House was a very positive experience for me. Check in was quick and simple. Service was at all times extremely polite and courteous. Bed was very comfortable, and bathroom was clean and well equipped. Breakfast was good and check out was flexible and helpful. I would definitely stay again
