Positive: The cabin was exactly as I expected it to be. It was very comfortble, had the perfect amount of wood(for the wood burning stove) for our 3 night stay and the lanai and hot tub were perfect to start the mornings. The cabin has provides the wood cabin experience very well and I was impressed with how consistent that all wood TNG construction was throughout. The details of providing beach chairs and a cooler for days out was very nice and everything was in great working order. After several vacations to the Big Island staying in both Hilo and Kona, the cooler climate of Volcano and interesting experience of a wood cabin with stove was a scratch I wanted to itch. It was even more enjoyable than I imagined and Hale Sweet Hale was the perfect choice for it.

Positive: What a beautiful home secluded deep in the jungle of Volcano Park. I absolutely fell in love with the wildlife and locals. The Volcano Store and Thai Thai Bistro were my favorites since they helped me out more than once. There is also a Chow-Chow running loose in the neighborhood that needs to be rescued as he is suffering from being abandoned outside. His coat is grossly matted, and his collar embedded in his neck. All the locals are trying their best, but the dog needs help. Please cherish Mother Nature and respect this special place. 🙏

Positive: Great communication. Beautiful setting. Perfectly clean. Nicely decorated. Stocked with everything you'd reasonably need. Great advice on groceries, restaurants, etc. It truly was everything we'd hoped it would be and more. Very cozy to be inside with the fire going and hear the rain outside. The covered back porch is deep enough that you can easily sit outside and relax while the rain is pouring around you (it rained a lot during our stay!). This is the kind of lodging you look forward to returning to after a long day of volcano exploration. Waking up to beautiful bird songs is a lovely thing! The twin beds were cozy...high-quality bedding, etc., but the mattresses were extremely firm for my husband and myself...may be difficult for people with back problems. The larger bed was great, according to those who slept in it.

Positive: Very cute clean 2 bedroom cabin. Excellent bedding. Great hot tub, best for 2 but we had 3. Nice wood stove. Kitchen had everything we needed. Pretty landscaping and very quiet We had a great time in spite of poor weather

Negative: It was rainy & chilly all 3 days we were there. Definitely needed the fire which took a couple hours to heat up the living room.
