Positive: Beautiful little villa in the middle of nowhere. Set in stunning landscape. Gorgeously decorated room and very well maintained grounds. Lovely pool and very friendly staff. Would highly recommend!

Negative: Pretty average breakfast which was pretty overpriced for what it was (Lunch and dinner were very good though!)

Positive: The location is secluded and super nice. The rooms are big, comfy, with all the amenities and a nice decor. Food was great. I did the tour as well, which was nice and informative. Cenote is also nice.

Negative: For the amount of money you pay, you arrive with certain expectations, obviously. This place is not cheap and it's a luxury hotel. Unfortunately, the welcome I received at reception was more like an inconvenience for them. Staff couldn't speak English (usually doesn't bother me, but again luxury hotel). They gave me the key and sent me off, without any introduction to the place. I had to remind them I had dinner and breakfast included, only then they made me choose my main from a WhatsApp message, again only in Spanish. The chairs in our patio were covered in bird excrements, so couldn't use them. The private pool that some rooms have it's more like stagnant water, you probably won't use it, so don't bother and go for the cheaper option. No telephone in the room to call reception, and rooms are quite far from the entrance. Swimming Pool is nice, but there is no bar service. Worst part was that at 5am a super noisy generator went off, waking us up (and every other guest as heard at breakfast). So don't expect to sleep past 5am. Again, I'm usually not bothered by most things, but this was a luxury treat for myself and it didn't meet expectations. I got far better service from a lot cheaper hotels in Merida and other places in the area.

Positive: We loved everything about our stay in the Hacienda. Once we parked the car we decided to stay the 2 days and not leave the Hacienda. The pool was lovely to spend the afternoon around in. We loved the informative and interactive Sisal, Hacienda, Mayan house and cenote tour. The most stunning cenote I’ve been in - water so clear you could see right to the bottom. A very informative and enjoyable tour spoken in both Spanish & English for us Australians. The included breakfasts and dinners were great and we enjoyed the different locations to dine in. We had to leave early for flights and the hacienda very kindly packed us up a breakfast bag to take with us. We enjoyed this very much at the airport. Thank you

Negative: Loved everything but could have done with some lights to light up the footpaths in the evening on our way to & from dinner

Positive: We spent one night at Sotuta Peon and it was an extraordinary vacation. The room was breathtakingly beautiful, way over our expectations. We took part in the guided tour of the Hacienda. The tour is even better including the cozy cenotes. Over all an amazing experience.

Positive: Our stay at this hacienda was worth every penny. Everything from the service to the food was exceptional. The tour was extremely interesting and the optional activities like the massages and horseback rating were great! Amazing place to relax and refill your cup.

Positive: Breakfast was fantastic, the pool was lovely and big and 2 shallow ends for the kids to play. Beautiful grounds and the rooms were lovely.

Negative: Beds were a little hard and my son also cut his foot in the pool due to broken/missing tiles.
