Positive: This hotel would be Five star if it had air condition. Seems to be a major problem as it has been without air conditioning for months. The chef is outstanding and worth staying here alone to taste his food. The cheese course was the best I have ever tasted don’t miss it. Staff are trying very hard bit difficult for them when things do not work.

Negative: Just needs the air conditioning fixed to be 5 star and perhaps up grade the shower

Positive: Gorgeous grounds. Pool not open???????

Negative: Air conditioning non existant and we were put on the 3rd floor during a heat wave. The hotel had few guests so there were many cooler rooms with portable AC's that we could see and that we asked about.

Positive: Location, good sized bath.

Negative: Not 5 star by any means! Restaurant closed Sundays and Mondays. Grounds unkept. Weekend staff unhelpful. Generally very disapppointing. Have stayed here before but deterioration in quality and near doubling of prices. I suspect ownership will have to change soon to survive!

Positive: It's honest presentation It's very hospitable staff who did everything to make my stay comfortable.

Negative: Well, it's very hard to say that the lack of guests was negative or positive!!!?? It made the hotel very quiet and feel like a private House...does one want that? One doesn't want a noisy place by any stretch of the imagination either?!?

Summary: Gothic quirky delight - with Mountain back drop!!
