Positive: Good selection for breakfast, very quiet hotel- I think we were the only guests. Decor was old-school but that's fine as comfortable and traditional feel. Clean. Public rooms very impressive.

Negative: I think we were there on the closed day for Albertville, so hotel mothballed feel. Nobody else around so no bar or restaurant- we were advised a bespoke meal would be available 'au coin', but on arrival were told restaurant was closed, which was OK as restaurants nearby.

Summary: Good value, comfortable. traditional.

Positive: After having been refused a bed at the place we had booked, we phoned around and eventually found a room at this hotel in the centre of town, needless to say to was way above budget and three times more expensive than what we had booked, but it was our only option Adam’s we went

Negative: When we arrived there was no room available and the owner got angry when we showed our confirmed booking made 20 minutes before! Eventually the amazing receptionist ( Nathalie) arrived and calmed the situation down , as before we were not alone, there were three other couples with similar stories, one had driven from Netherlands, the owner said “ why book through booking.com they were told repeatedly we have no room, it’s better to book through us then we don’t have to pay commission…disappointing, eventually we were offered a room in their staff quarters and charged twice what they quoted originally ( but this was later corrected) we are grateful for a place to stay that night bug appalled by this practice which appears to be common place? We booked three hotels on the way all had problems - all through booking .com

Positive: We were unexpectedly forced to stay in Albertville post discharge from the (excellent) hospital. We found Hotel Million on Booking.com, the hotel was better than expected. Furthermore, local friends were pleased for us regarding our choice as it is also a well respected and liked establishment amongst their friends.
