Positive: Review of Hôtel de la Demi-Lune I spent 5 nights at this hotel recently. The only reason I gave them 10 on 10 is because I cannot give more! If I could, I would have given them 11 or even 12 (out of 10)! The whole experience was just great. The hotel is in a really great location; in the old town and right on the river Doubs with a terrace just next to the river. My room on the first floor had a direct view of the river. It was spacious, airy, well-light. The room had 4 large windows! And they were double-glazed so when they were closed all the outside noise was very effectively cut off. The staff were professional and very friendly and helpful in every way. The chef Virginie deserves a special mention. She is warm, friendly and extremely helpful; and she is a really great cook. Normally when I vist some town, I only eat once in any restaurant because I want to try as many restaurants as possible. But the food in the restaurant was so good that I had most of my meals there and they were all absolutely great! In this restaurant you can just close your eyes and point at the menu and you can be sure that you will have a great meal! Since I am gluten-intolerant, the staff and especially Virginie bent over backwards to accomodate my needs. I really appreciated that. To summarise: great location, nice rooms, excellent food and friendly, helpful staff. It is clearly not the cheapest place in town but frankly it is worth every penny!

Negative: Hardly anything that I did not really like. It would have been nice to have a closed cupboard to hang my clothes.
