Summary: Great stay. It is a unique and beautiful property at the heart of the old city. Easy access to most of the tourist sites. The room is perhaps a bit sparse against the price, but you're paying for the art and a great view out over the ocean.

Summary: We loved the architecture and the philosophy which inspired it. Would you be so kind as to let us know the name of proprietress of the hotel. She is also the architect who designed it. She lives on the property. We want so much to write her a personal letter expressing our admiration for her innovative concepts in designing such a welcoming atmosphere.

Summary: Fabulous, uniquely designed hotel, the product of one woman's 6 years of hard work sculpting the place by hand. The walls, furniture, rooms are all designed in an architectural style that's hard to define - Neo-tropical? Beaux-Arts Moroccan? I don't know, but it's all fabulous. The manager Isabelle is a wonderful host, the Cap-Verdean barmen Jean-Marc (I think that was his name) makes his own Bissap and Bouye, the views from the terrace and pool area are stunning. Unless you want some faceless corporate hotel, this is the best place to stay in Dakar.

Summary: Terrific building woth a unique qierky design. Stinning lounge and communal areas. Great coastal location and view from the bar/terrace. The antithesis of the boring standard character-free corporate hotel.
