Positive: Location and breakfast were very good.
Negative: I was given a bedroom on the third floor but there was no lift. I had quite a heavy case because I needed some art equipment for the coming week. I had to drag it up the stairs alone. With a back problem this was far from ideal. I was in a sweat and had throbbing pain afterwards. The staff had left as I did not arrive until 8.30 pm.
Summary: I was a little disappointed by the hotel due to the above.

Positive: This is charming hotel full of style and character in a great location for exploring the historic centre of Avignon. The room was spacious, very comfortable bed and well equipped. Breakfast was good - great coffee and croissants- and the owners extremely welcoming and attentive. A very good base for a few nights.
Negative: It was all great but future guests should note that it is difficult to access by car and google maps was hopeless. Also there is no lift and quite steep windy stairs

Positive: The hotel was a little gem. The owners were so friendly and helpful . The breakfasts were delicious . The room was so comfortable and the air conditioning was excellent - which was so important in the heatwave. Location very convenient for the train station and day trips visiting the area.
Negative: Nothing .
Summary: A relaxing break , so pleased we chose le Colbert.
