Positive: Nice rooms, modern. Breakfast - good croissant, reasonable coffee. Some cold meats and fruit. Egg station. Fine. Quiet. Lovely scenery. If you want to overlook the gold course and have a nice view, you'll need a premium room that's 20 Euros more. Dinner was amazing. I had half a free range roasted chicken with chips. The first time in my life I've not been able to finish a plate of chicken and chips - that I adore. Local beer good. Was on route to catch the ferry to the UK. Roads were clear at 0710 and I was able to catch the 0800 ferry instead of the 0950. I'll be back, next time with my wife and take a room with that nice view.

Negative: Signage to the hotel can be better. I went to the golf shop, missed the sign for the hotel as it's not that pronounced. It's just a little further on.

Summary: Great stop on-route to the channel ferry at Calais.

Positive: Very comfy bed and dark room. Breakfast and view during it are good. Staff really nice. Car parking easy and a looping way from the road so guessing it's secure from opportunistic theft. Great value at the price paid

Negative: The gym is comical, no one can workout like that in the corridor next to the lifts Better to remove it.

Positive: Modern, clean, comfortable. It even had small luxuries like slippers & robes. Lovely stay. It was snowing and freezing outside but the hotel was warm and inviting. The staff were really friendly and went out of their way to help

Positive: Excellent hotel . Great location . Good facilities. Very good breakfast . Big bedroom and bathroom with bath and separate toliet. Friendly staff . Very good dinner but don’t have the French onion soup. We would certainly recommend to friends .

Positive: Very well placed for travelling through the tunnel. Luxurious building on a golf course and lovely rooms, and with walks around for my dog

Negative: I was surprised that the hotel restaurant wasn't open, but was sent to the golf course's club house, just a short walk away, where I ate very well indeed. So not really a criticism.

Negative: We had dinner in the club house which was fine. BUT, why do staff insist on seating people at adjoining tables in an empty restaurant?! The restaurant has at least 30 tables and the 5 dining couples were all seated next to each other. The distance between the tables is about 12 inches. I had to listen to the couples on the next tables every word! Not their fault but not comfortable for any of the parties! We have booked again for later in the month but am seriously considering cancelling. Unfortunately my French wasn’t good enough to explain with offending!
