Positive: Great location near the beach. Restaurant downstairs, close to supermarket, bars and boulangerie.

Negative: The hotel is a bit dated but didn't mind too much. We stayed during a heatwave so apartment was stifling but that's to be expected as 35degrees in Normandy is very rare. There were fans in the room to keep air moving

Positive: I absolutely loved my stay at Hôtel des Pins in Normandy! The location couldn’t be better — just a short walk from the beach, where you can enjoy peaceful mornings and beautiful sunsets. The hotel has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that perfectly captures the charm of coastal Normandy. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated, with lovely touches that made me feel right at home. Positive: Comfy bed and spacious room.

Negative: Decor was dated and bathroom of my superior room was a bizarre plastic cabin from the 80s. Not a great shower experience. I left a do not disturb sign on the door while I went for breakfast as my laptop was out etc and when I came back, the bed had been stripped and remade for the next guest and window left open (I had closed it due to security). I've never experienced this before with hours to go until checkout - if felt disrespectful. We ate in the restaurant because it was the only place open and it was among one of the worst and most disappointing meals of my life. Long waits, a grey and unpleasant tuna tataki (which had not been seared), an overcooked and inedible fillet steak (I had ordered it pink), cold frites and a steak tartare that was basically supermarket mince mixed with mayonnaise. I'm not convinced there was an actual chef in the kitchen that night. I did explain our problems but was still presented with a full bill - when I questioned this they comped a bottle of water and the scary tuna, but having paid 35 euros for a terrible steak that I couldn't eat will haunt me for a while longer.

Summary: I won't be back.
