Positive: A stunning facade is echoed on the inside of the building providing a welcoming and classy atmosphere. The staff were very helpful and polite. Our room was well appointed and neatly laid out with a view of the garden. The walk-in shower was spacious in an otherwise small bathroom, but again, there was room too move without feeling hemmed in. Food was great, but pricey for a three star hotel. A limited menu for vegetarians but otherwise varied. Breakfast was a plentiful buffet. The bar area was fairly standard but comfortable overlooking the garden.

Negative: For a three star hotel, the stay was pricey, but the building and quiet location would just about make it a worthwhile spend, particularly if you are looking for a quiet, romantic night or two away or at the end of a longer tour (like we did).

Positive: Wonderful rural setting and only half an hour from Calais. The staff were great, despite my dreadful school boy French. Their English was excellent. The beds were very comfortable and the shower is great. Highly recommend the restaurant.
