Positive: From the moment I arrived, to the moment I left, Tony and Geraldine made me so welcome. The thoughtful touches, like milk in the fridge and a lovely home made fruit cake (Welsh Bara Brith) were much appreciated. The cottage is exceptionally clean and beautifully presented, the decor - elegant seaside, with Geraldine making all the beautiful soft furnishings herself. Very comfortable little home from home, well equipped kitchen,with everything you need to make your stay relaxing, washing machine and even a dishwasher! A little reading nook just off the kitchen, to enjoy a pre dinner drink makes it perfect! A lovely comfortable king sized bed, with plenty of storage, in the lovely light and airy bedroom (I slept like a log, particularly the first night when an owl sang his night song and lulled me to sleep) cosy twin beds in the 2nd bedroom with ample storage, and a door to the outside area..The upstairs lounge is beautiful, with a large modern TV, it has two sumptuous sofas, a desk area, and huge velux windows which afford you the amazing views from the coast of Beaumaris to as far as Llandudno and the Eryri (Snowdon) range down to the Lleyn Peninsula. Binoculars kindly provided offer even better views. There are a wealth of books and DVDs available and lots of local information booklets. Downstairs, there is a private outside space for a relax, and you have use of the front garden area too. Lots of places to enjoy those sundowners! Parking is available on the property. The cottage is located at the far end of Llangoed, and the road to the property gets narrower the closer you get, but there are passing places so it is easily accessible. Llangoed is a delightfully quiet area, with even a walk to the Priory at Penmon beginning across the road from the cottage. The pretty town of Beaumaris is a 15 minute drive, where you can find a variety of independent shops, wonderful eateries, a very good ice cream parlour (Red Boat) and best of all Beaumaris Castle!
