Positive: Great location. A good base for Lake Biwa, Mt Hiei and the important sights of Omi Hachiman. The house itself is quaint and traditional, yet has modern amenities which meet all reasonable needs. The ground floor has enough space for 4 people to sleep comfortably, and if additional space is needed there is always the huge space on the 2nd floor. There is also a parking space for one car, which is super convenient for those who drives. The host who met us on our arrival to do the check in, is also friendly.

Positive: The host was lovely and met us there earlier than check in to explain everything. There was a hand drawn map with intricate details on where to go, what they did and opening hours. The house was old but modern. The little bakery next door.

Negative: People have talked about the internet but we used our esims so it was not a problem.

Positive: The house was recently renovated and it is in great shape. The location is great, near all the things that you want to visit when in town. Staff was very kind and welcoming, even providing a map with suggested places to visit and eat.

Negative: Everything was perfect, both the house and location. The only thing that was lacking was the WiFi. While it was indeed available, the speed was so low that it couldn't be used, I was better off using my mobile connection.

Positive: The house has everything that we wanted and is well placed to explore the old town area of omihachiman. It is well heated, and the beds are comfortable. The views would be amazing once the cherry blossom starts blooming. We were picked up at the station and dropped off during check out. The place is too big for just 2 people, but it never felt empty even when there's only two of us.

Negative: There is limited place to eat for dinner as a lot of restaurants are closed at dinner time in the area, however the ones that are open is pretty great!

Positive: It's a very cosy place to stay. We drove here and parking is available for 1 car. All the facilities are adequate, kitchen, living and sleeping rooms are big for family of 4. Location is very quiet and walking distance to nearby attractions. Happy to return if i have chance.

Negative: I think having more electrical outlets or providing an extension cord would be very useful for charging phone, camera, laptops, etc.
