Positive: Great house! Clean, comfortable, and near the little river. We walked to most tourist spots in town and took a 1500 yen taxi to and from the station.

Negative: We ran out of coffee. Hahaha. It's ok. My friends do drink a lot of coffee.

Positive: The location was perfect. Right across the street from the scenic canal and within walking distance of the Biwako Biennale. The guesthouse was clean and comfortable and the host was helpful and nice.

Positive: What a find! We were greeted in person and shown everything from how use the appliances to how the laundry operates to restaurants in the area. How refreshing to not be greeted by a lock box! The guesthouse was spotlessly clean and well equipped. We had everything we needed. This is a traditional Japanese house and we relished the experience. The guesthouse is centrally located around restaurants and eateries. However, the kitchen is large and preparing simple meals was possible. The host was quick to respond to texts and queries.

Negative: We liked everything!

Positive: Great location. A good base for Lake Biwa, Mt Hiei and the important sights of Omi Hachiman. The house itself is quaint and traditional, yet has modern amenities which meet all reasonable needs. The ground floor has enough space for 4 people to sleep comfortably, and if additional space is needed there is always the huge space on the 2nd floor. There is also a parking space for one car, which is super convenient for those who drives. The host who met us on our arrival to do the check in, is also friendly.

Positive: The host was lovely and met us there earlier than check in to explain everything. There was a hand drawn map with intricate details on where to go, what they did and opening hours. The house was old but modern. The little bakery next door.

Negative: People have talked about the internet but we used our esims so it was not a problem.

Positive: The house was recently renovated and it is in great shape. The location is great, near all the things that you want to visit when in town. Staff was very kind and welcoming, even providing a map with suggested places to visit and eat.

Negative: Everything was perfect, both the house and location. The only thing that was lacking was the WiFi. While it was indeed available, the speed was so low that it couldn't be used, I was better off using my mobile connection.
