Positive: The place is absolutely gorgeous. Prime innercourt. Perfect for bikepackers, covered space for your bikes. Food was good, big portions, clearly freshly made kubdari and the cheesebreadthing, njam! Friendly people.
Negative: The almost comical level of noise from children screaming, fighting and crying literally from the moment I entered until 10pm. This is nobody's fault as the kids and the whole family are incredibly nice but you know, just good to know. The walls are twice as thin as the phone you're holding so enjoy the convos of your neighbour travellers, also altho this is normal in Svaneti. Also good to know. Things I would like to know before I book. Language barrier but nothing some minutes on google translate can't fix.

Positive: Everything was great. Perfect location to hike to the Ushba Waterfall. Easy walk to reach Hikers Cafe across a lovely meadow. Amazing views of Ushba and Mazeri peaks. Comfortable bed in a traditional farm-style building with all modern facilities. A beautiful setting. The family prepared an excellent breakfast and dinner. And they helped with a taxi when I wanted to get to my next stop in Mestia.
Summary: By far the most idyllic option in Mazeri. And the friendliest welcome.

Positive: Especially if you want to get a bit of a rest from the a bit more touristy Mestia, this is the place you should go for. The guest house has a lovely garden where it is possible to relax after exploring the surroundings of the quiet and peaceful village of Mazeri. Marina is very helpful with everything. You also have the option to order dinner/breakfast which I would strongly recommend since Marina is a great cook. We ourselves are vegetarians and it was no problem at all for her to adapt the cooking:)

Positive: Nice sized rooms, very clean and well maintained. Breakfast very good.
Negative: Single bathroom between rooms is an issue when property was full. Room walls quite thin, plus no curtains in rooms (only net curtains) made sleeping tricky. Dinner was substantial, but overly carb heavy with minimal protein, after long day of hiking wasn’t ideal. For 30 GEL it seemed pricey.

Positive: Perfect location when hiking the transcaucasian trail...lovely guesthouse, lovely garden. The room was big and comfortable, very clean too and the hosts were super nice too! And the price is obviously very good! Food was excellent and abundant as well.
Negative: A bit noisy with all the kids around in the evening, but this was not a very big deal.

Negative: One bathroom for all of the guests which was busy. The bathroom has a construction error. The water flows to the opposite side of the drain, so it flows through the ceiling.

Positive: The owners were very friendly. They don't speak much English but they did their best to help us, the food was delicious
Negative: There is only one bathroom, so when is the guest house was full it took some time to wait to go in the toilet. But you're building a new one, so it's going to be very good soon
