We are just a 20-minute drive north of Launceston, 30 minutes from Launceston Airport, 5 minutes from Legana Shopping Village and a short stroll to the Tamar Valley Resort, the Grindelwald Swiss Shopping Village and the adjacent 9-hole public golf course.
The Grindelwald Swiss Shopping Village has a cafe (to satisfy your daily coffee and ice-cream cravings), a bakery, newsagent, gift shop and beauty shop. There is also a variety of activities on offer at the Tamar Valley Resort including Putt-it mini golf, lake with watercraft activities and the Lakeside Alpenrose Bistro & Tavern.

Summary: This was the perfect location for family members to gather for a celebration. The cottage and grounds were just beautiful, and our hosts thoughtful and so very helpful. Talking and drinking mulled wine around the outdoor fireplace was just the best family time.

Summary: John and Liang were lovely to deal with. Very responsive to any questions and they were most accommodating when we had to change our dates due to covid. They found our son had left a computer gadget behind, which they promptly posted to us. The house is a perfect setup for families, with lots of space and beautiful gardens. The master bedroom downstairs has its own heat pump and the ensuite has been renovated. The remaining bedrooms, (one with its own ensuite) are upstairs and fans are provided.

Summary: We had such a lovely, relaxing, enjoyable stay. The house is so spacious that the 6 of us (4 teenagers) could all still have our own space. Grindelwald is central to so many attractions, but we also felt the tension of just staying 'home' and enjoying the house and surrounds. What a perfect spot for a relaxing break! Thanks for having us!

Summary: Liang and John were lovely hosts. The house was beautiful with large garden lots of nice little touches and very clean. Only downfall was there was no dryer which made washing for a family a little trickier and unfortunately the fireplace shown in pictures doesn't work, however we did make use of the outdoor fire pit. Overall a lovely holiday home in a great location. We have recommended to friends.
