Positive: The hotel has been tastefully refurbished. More modern in the public areas and traditional in the room. It has a lovely bright and airy relaxed vibe with fabulous views from the rooms and pool. The staff spoke Greek and English and are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was generous and included. It is the perfect location for the ferry to Skyros island (our destination).

Negative: Views don’t come without height and in this case with steps. No lift so it’s steps all the way. Not suitable for those with mobility challenges or looking for easy car parking. Staff were great with luggage though. We are not fans of a shower over the bath with a curtain and hand held shower head.

Summary: Terrific location for the ferry.

Positive: The view from the hotel is very nice and all rooms practically have a sea view. Breakfast was also quite nice, I would say a surprise for this type of hotel.

Negative: Old room furniture, the hotel interior needs heavy renovation. Although the room size is big, the bathroom is extremely small with a tiny shower area. Finding hair all over the shower is not the cleanliness you would expect. Tasteless and not well trained staff. Finally, all rooms are situated just above the pool, where kids and families are playing and screaming, just forget your relaxing journey.
