Positive: The top highlights of this stay were the value for money and the host's services and willingness to ensure you have a wonderful experience. He went above and beyond what was expected of a host. Excellent service with rides to the bus station and park entrance, help with travel logistics for non-Korean speakers. Outstanding! Ensured the room was warm prior to check-in (off season).

Negative: Nothing to criticize, just a budget accommodation, so don't expect luxury.

Summary: The care and attention by the host to ensure you have a good stay were outstanding.

Positive: Roger was a perfect host. If you are looking to hike in Jirisan national park and do not speak Korean this accommodation (and this English speaking host) are ideal for you. If you are getting to Jungsan-ri from either Seoul or Busan Roger will send you a text you need to show to the driver and the bus will stop in front of the Green Valley accommodation. When he drives you all the way up to the entry of the Jirisan National Park it saves you (kilo)metres in distance and in altitude and if you want to do hike up to the summit in one day (without staying at the shelters) this helps a lot.

Negative: It is probably possible to get better accommodation in terms of quality/price ratio, but for the purpose of hiking the accommodation at Green Valley gives you very easy solution.

Positive: Good stay. Clean and peaceful place. good breakfast aswell! Possible to have lunch or dinner if ordered in advance which was useful to me. Very close to the starting point for Chawbagong mt. Owner can give you a ride to the starting point. I appreciated! He also speaks english!

Positive: The hospitality of the host will brighten your stay, you are welcomed to the hotel as you would be in his home. Already before arriving, he spontaneously gives great tips on how to get there (by bus in my case). Once there, I had the possibility to eat great home made Bulgogi in the evening. For the next day, a nice breakfast, and the best of all: he offered to drive to the hiking trail head, and pick me up once it was done! This is not only very nice service, it's warm Korean hospitality and kindness.

Positive: Beautiful location close to Jirisan. The owner, Roger, was incredibly helpful and drove us into town to get dinner on our first night and to the trailhead first thing in the morning for our hike up Jirisan. The river runs directly behind and was a lovely place to cool off in the afternoon

Positive: Excellent host - drove us to and picked us up from the hiking trails. Room was spacious, with separate bathroom and AC and there is a small convenience store where you can get all the basic necessities and you can also order lunch/ dinner. In addition, the location beside the river is absolutely superb- you can cool off just behind the hotel and at ca 400m upstream from the hotel there is a bit larger "river lake" to swim and enjoy beautiful Jirisan summer.

Positive: The owner was extremely helpful in hosting me during my stay. Due to recent weather events, the basement of the hotel was flooded and the owner was very busy cleaning the rubble and mud. Despite his worries, he made me an excellent Korean breakfast.

Negative: I liked the hotel very much. I didn't find anything I disliked. It met the expectation.

Positive: The communication between the owner and I was great. There was a bit of a mishap getting there as there is another pension called Green valley and he waited and guided me to the correct Pension. The place is clean enough and close to Jirisan national park. There is a convenience store with some supplies. His dog was chained up the whole time I was there but he was a good boy.
