Positive: The location was fantastic. You get a direct view of Mt Kinabalu across the ridge. The house is modern and well equipped. The water pressure was good which was unexpected based on the location (top of a ridge) and previous experiences at the area, more importantly the water heater was functioning well given how cold the place is at night. The Astro cable tv service was a pleasant surprise especially with the continuous rain we had during our stay. The furnishings and beddings were super comfy, very clean and of good quality. All kitchenware was provided and clean, descriptions were correct and true. Slippers were provided both for indoors and outdoors (very thoughtful).

Negative: There was a slight plugging of the shower drainage (studio), and missing light fitting (ground floor) but nothing major.

Positive: We had a relaxing two-night escape at this boutique cozy cottage, tucked about 25 minutes off the main road and 40 minutes from Kundasang town. The drive is an adventure, winding through bumpy, hilly terrain with plenty of ups and downs. A 4x4 vehicle would definitely make the trip smoother and more reassuring. The cottage is surrounded by a few others, and we saw some families staying nearby while we were there. As city folks, we're used to places that are gated and guarded, so we were a bit unsure at first. But honestly, it didn’t take long to feel comfortable—everyone pretty much kept to themselves, and it was really peaceful. As it is a small establishment, you would have a private stay. We were really hoping to catch a glimpse of Mount Kinabalu, but the rainy and foggy weather had other plans, so we didn’t get that view after all ✅ Gorgeous hilly view, nature and peaceful. ✅ Facilities: full kitchen with single stove, kettle, microwave, small fridge, kitchenware, cutleries, sink. ✅ TV and astro available with own data connection. ✅ Fan, because AC is not needed due to chilly weather. ✅Check-in and check-out is no hassle. ✖️no food provided. We bought food from town to last for the whole day. Cooking is also possible here.
