Positive: Staying here one night convinced me to spend a month in Montenegro. It’s cute and rustic and not fancy but so comfortable. They were great about my early arrival because there’s only the one train from Belgrade. You feel like you’re really living like a local on the edge of town but within easy walking distance of everything. It’s also right next to the regional bus station and near the train station.

Negative: You’ll need to pay cash. They don’t have an IBAN to transfer money or a way to pay by card.

Positive: The property was well presented and suitable for self catering. We ate in the centre of Bar where there is a good choice of restaurants, which are an easy 15 min walk from the property. The bus and rail stations are very close to the property - just 2 - 5 minutes walk, which was important since we caught the bus to Bar in order to ride the renowned rail journey to Belgrade.

Summary: Very close to bus and rail. Perfect!

Positive: Good location, I choose it for it's proximity to the bus - and trainstation. Both are just a few minutes on foot. Also a supermarket and some cafetaria are close by. Every comfort of your own appartment. Air-conditioning which was really welcome. Good contact with owners. And especially, after arriving in Bar i was picked up by owner by car and brought to the residence, great service!

Negative: I went out for the night and upon return I found the gate to the premises closed. I wasnt informed of this. It turned out to be easy to open just the pedestrian-passage. (if needed I'm sure I could have called even on the late hour and they would have assisted) On foot it's a bit of a walk to the center, but that wasn't why I choose this location so no problem for me.

Positive: Ideal location in Bar if you want to be near the bus and train station. Very quiet private compound which was easy to find (the host sent map) . Apartment was very clean with a nice outside terrace area for relaxing. WiFi was strong and reliable. Kitchenette well equipped and a washing machine with detergent in entrance lobby.(Washing line and drying rack on terrace) Some people may not like the couch/bed, but as a solo traveller it was fine for me. Small supermarket 150m away. Like most shops in Montenegro it doesn't open on a Sunday. Easy check in and out with good communication from host. Window had mosquito mesh. The Aircon does a great job cooling the room if required. (38C during the day in June) Taxi's available at the bus station next to the compound.
