Positive: The hotel is located in a peaceful environment on the outskirts of Sauraha village. Reaching the village was easy by foot and by tuktuk. A small shop selling refreshments and snacks is right across the street. The hotel’s restaurant serves continental, local and Chinese dishes. We did not get sick from the restaurant’s food. The staff in the restaurant are very polite and friendly. Our room was clean and the beds more comfortable than in other hotels that we have stayed in in Nepal. The hotel offerred a nice, short cultural program (local dance show) every second day in the garden right after sunset. It was also possible to purchase ”jungle activities” from the hotel reception. The garden has walls around it and feels safe with children.

Negative: Rooms are not automatically cleaned every day, only upon request. This information was not easily available: we had to spot it from the notice board in the lobby. The shower had only warm(ish) but not hot water late in the evenings. The toilet paper supply in a family room (with several persons) was low.

Negative: Breakfast was a bit poor. Meant to start at 6am and always 30/40min late and quality was ok. Definitely recommend dinner in the hotel next door, amazing! Hotel prices for safaris much more expensive than others in local area
