Positive: This place is excellent! Hosts are about the kindest and most helpful I've ever met. Cleanliness was top notch, really, just so clean - refreshing! To help with the chilliness of the Ecuadorian mountains, hot water bottles were delivered each evening that, to my surprise, stayed warm all night and kept us toasty in bed. When booking, we chose a room on the first floor, it was great but if we return, the higher floors have great views and may be a tad warmer so we will opt for that. Location wise, it was a bit off the beaten path - perfect for us. Lots nearby but also quietly apart. My only note: the wifi was not super strong when we were there so keep that in mind depending on what you need to do. The overall value is outstanding, we will definitely be back if we pass this way again. Thanks for the great stay!

Positive: Very nice view of Lake San Pablo and ideal starting point to hike Warmi Imbabura. The host and his family are extraordinarily nice and helpful. The daughter prepares a delicious breakfast, and the son brought us hot water bottles in the evening. Patricio even drove us to the nearest bus station to Quito. Muy recomendable!

Positive: Some folks go above and beyond, and Patricio is one of them. He provides everything you need, and even at night gives you a hit water bag to keep your feet warm in bed. The rooms have great views, he’s a trained chef so you can purchase meals if you want, he has a kitchen for guests to use if you prefer. It’s a short walk up to great trails on the mountain, or to the lake if you prefer that. And his children are super friendly and helpful. A perfect stay.

Positive: We felt welcomed by Patricio and his family the moment we arrived. Located in San Pablo del Lago the inn is only about a 25 minute drive to Otavalo. Our room was comfortable, clean and very spacious. Great view of the nearby lake and mountain ranges from our room's window. Delicious meals (breakfast and dinner) included with the price. Easy parking. We highly recommend it.
