Positive: Spotlessly clean, well equipped cottage, in a rural location with amazing views from upstairs windows. Great for spotting Red Kite! Although you will need 'wheels' to get about ( unless a very accomplished walker!) there is a very convenient, welcoming, friendly pub a 2 min easy walk away, serving pub food.

Negative: Whilst perfect for us, cottage could be a little too rural for some being 4-5 miles drive from nearest town

Positive: Green Cottage was clean and as described with good parking. We had a minor issue and this was resolved immediately and in a friendly manner. Think this is an excellent place to bring dogs and go for walks. Scenic view and pub nearby too. (We didn’t bring a dog!) At the time, I’d booked a family suite in town for us and our son while my daughter was doing an expedition, and this was the same price so good value to have the whole property to ourselves. Televisions in both bedrooms added bonus.

Negative: The shower is functional and in hindsight I wouldn’t have booked a cottage that only has bathroom downstairs. The stairs are steep and low beam. The welcome folder contained lots of scribbled comments that seemed unnecessary, however the printed information was useful. Not the property owners fault but barking dog next door all night.

Summary: Simple, clean cottage in a quiet village.

Positive: Lovely cottage, spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable. Beautiful views from upstairs, and lots of red kite around. Food in the Lamb and Flag in Rhayader was very good.

Negative: The pub a minute away not opening until August 3rd - bit of a trek to Rhayader for a drink and food

Positive: The cottage had been decorated for Christmas, a lovely surprise. Toasty warm and a bottle of wine waiting.. Friendly owners and neighbours. We were invited to the community New Year's Eve party which was brilliant. Everything we needed for a brilliant break. The cottage was very cosy, WiFi better than we have at home. Bonus for us was no mobile phone signal. The local pub re opened New Year's Day. Even the wet and windy weather didn't cause any problems. Beautiful views. Hope to be back.

Negative: Not really a problem, but the wetroom like do with a new window.
