The cottage: This charming cottage with views overlooking High Island and the Atlantic Ocean. It has a spacious garden and plenty of parking. This property is ideal for children where they can wander to their hearts content across fields full of wild flowers and sand dunes close by. Aughrus Lake is close and is full of brown trout. If you are partial to lobster the local shellfish merchant has a sea-fed lobster pond just down the road and you can purchase lobster for an alfresco meal. Next to the lobster pond is what the local people call the Anchor Beach, a quiet beach with stunning white sand. Omey Island is short drive, enroute you will pass Sweeney’s shop, P.O. and petrol station where you will find all you need for your stay. This is a very scenic area and is highly recommended. Once you have discovered it you will want to come back year after year.
Inside: Three Bedrooms with two doubles, one of which is ensuite, and one twin. Open plan sitting room with kitchen ,dining table & chairs. Sitting room area has couch, chairs, open fire and tv. Summary: Everything was good about this property except no instructions on how to work dish washer, heating etc. Also house difficult to recognise from the photo.

Summary: Perfect location for a relaxing extended famiy stay. Chidren have lots of opportunities to explore safely. Adults can imbibe in creamy pints and fresh sea food. If weather is indifferent just put on some wet gear and embrace the glorious outdoors.

Summary: I had a fantastic time in Claddaghduff. The house was spotlessly clean and preheated on my arrival. I did not meet Angela de Courcy in person but contact with her was uncomplicated, prompt and always helpful (thank you Angela). I will definitely be back.

Summary: Provide Instruction sheets(or booklet) in English & key foreign languages on use of: 1) Cooker 2) Heating system 3) Garbage collection /Bags etc 4} Unit rate to be paid for ESB & oil 5) A list of restaurant, food outlets & pubs in locale. Attractions& all form of age group activities. There is no official or signed Tourist Office in Clifden. Old Office closed ( May open for July/Aug?) Supply leaflets to the house. The house was excellent for a family needs& Angela de Courcy was welcoming , friendly & helpful

Summary: This cottage is situated on the Aughrus peninsula not far from claddaghduff and cleggan. The cottage is well appointed with 3 bedrooms, one with ensuite. The views from the main bedroom are beautiful with the sun setting over the Atlantic. The living space is comfortable with recliner and large tv with Netflix which was a bonus. There are 2 fantastic beach in walking distance. All in all the cottage ticked all the boxes for us

Summary: Das Haus hat drei Zimmer, praktischerweise eines mit Badezimmer. Daneben gibt es ein separates Badezimmer. Waschmaschine ist in Nebenbau, kleine Gartenlaube, wussten wir nicht. Musste man suchen. Ansonsten: Ausstattung voll ok, alles da, Kamin ein Plus, man braucht ein Auto.

Summary: Overall was very happy with our stay we were familiar with area so knew what to expect from location etc. house itself is well laid out and probably due to being near end of season could do with a little bit of maintaince but it did not take from our enjoyment. Squeaky doors and mattresses need turning or toppers - bit springy!
