Traditional stone built one bedroom cottage in Hilton, one of Easter ross and Ross-shires Seaboard villages.
Sea Breezes is a single storey stone cottage situated in a quiet no-through lane in the pretty seaside village of Hilton in Ross-shire. This one bedroomed cottage is ideal for couples. The cottage is just a few steps away from the charming harbour and lovely coastline that runs along the front of the seaboard villages.
The front door opens onto the open plan living area. There is a good-sized kitchen with breakfast bar. It is well equipped and modernised throughout, with built-in cupboards, electric cooker and hob, microwave, washing machine and fridge / freezer. The living area has a very large, deep leather sofa, and plenty of space to sit and plan the next day's excursion. Windows look out over the cottage garden.
The double bedroom at the rear of the cottage has a 5' bed and is very attractively presented.
There is a modern shower room with shower cubicle, toilet and wash-basin.
Wi-fi. Electric panel heaters.
Private parking for one car.
Guests have access to the entire property.
We are the booking agent for the owners and can be contacted at our office in Dingwall during the following hours Monday to Friday 9:30 - 17:00 prior to your arrival.
Prior to your arrival we will email guests a contact number for the property owner or local housekeeper for your use should you require any assistance during your stay.

Summary: Had a lovely stay here, very clean, well equipped kitchen, good location, lovely coastal walks on doorstep and lots of other beautiful beaches short drive away. Only the front garden for use (back door kept locked) so might be an issue for some dog owners, but it’s a very quiet street so wasn’t a problem.

Summary: The cottage was very clean and comfortable, the kitchen was well-equipped. Rooms were larger than we were expecting and there was plenty of storage space. We spent most of our time outside so did not use the selection of DVDs or the range of books provided. We could walk along the coast straight from the cottage, so for us it was an excellent, quiet location. There are some convenient facilities within the Seaboard villages: a good restaurant / pub, good community cafe in the Seaboard centre, and a Spar shop. Other visitor attractions are only a short drive away. The people we met were all very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend the cottage and Seaboard Villages as a holiday destination.

Summary: I really enjoyed staying at Sea Breeze Cottage. It is a comfortable base for exploring the surrounding area. As it is in a quiet location, it is easy to avoid the 'crowds', but still access shops and tourist attractions. It was very clean and well-maintained, except for the garden which looked a little neglected. In case constructive criticism is welcome, I add a few comments: Much of what one might need for a week's stay was provided, but the crockery and equipment were in some cases a bit sparse (e.g. there was a washing line, but no clothes pegs. I bought some and left them for future users.) It would be helpful to have a few hooks on the doors of the bedroom and bathroom. The heating system is set at a very low temperature, and the owner discourages adjusting it, so it felt a little cold at times. This may also have contributed to a slight sense of the bedroom being damp. I would rent this property again.
