Positive: First the location, in Norway you get beautiful Nature, this setting is in the middle of it, the view of the Fjord ia amazing the home reflects the history of the area, and is kept with this in mind, pictures and books of the history of the Area and the family home Lars was so welcoming, although i was there for work you still get the feeling or pride in the history from him i have travelled the world through work and do not like Chain hotels and the corporate feel, i have been to this area before, and love it !
Negative: shared facilaties, although they did block off one bathroom for my rooms use, a sink in the room would be nice i think the room i used probably had one in its past,
Summary: Awesome place

Positive: This was the most charming and beautifully designed guesthouse we have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and kindness. As first-time visitors to this country, we felt incredibly lucky to have met Marianne and Lars, who not only made our stay unforgettable but also took the time to share the history of the hotel and the Norwegian way of life with us. In the morning, they prepared a delightful breakfast, and we sipped our coffee on the terrace, taking in the breathtaking view. Every flower in the house was vibrant and full of life, a reflection of the care and attention they put into every detail. Even though we were their only guests that night, they went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Marianne and Lars are truly exceptional hosts, dedicated to creating a warm and welcoming experience for their guests. We are so grateful to have had the chance to stay here and to have met such wonderful people. It felt like home—filled with comfort, kindness, and genuine hospitality. Thank you for everything. We hope to return one day and see you again!
Summary: perfect blend of warmth, hospitality, and charm, making us feel truly at home in the heart of Norway.
