Positive: It has been very well designed & thought out with great attention to detail. The good quality furniture, bed linen, crockery etc. makes the lodge feel very luxurious & special. Bed was lovely, so comfortable! Excellent communication & directions from the owner.

Positive: The accommodation was wonderful, using a small space really well. It was a really comfortable and welcoming space, and made a great base for exploring the area. The provision of toiletries, tea, coffee and milk was a lovely touch.

Negative: It was an ideal stay for a couple of nights but would have felt a bit cramped for much longer.

Summary: A fantastic hideaway in the Yorkshire countryside.

Positive: The location was great. The quietest night sleep I’ve ever had.

Negative: The room was very hot. Pillows to soft. Couldn’t open the windows enough. There was a really strong acrid smell that permeated from the shower room into the bedroom. Had to leave the door open to the outside to try and clear the air. So much so we only stayed the one night but paid for the two. We drove home 5 and a half hours after a family wedding because we couldn’t take the smell. A real shame. Would love to stay again but it would need looking in to where the smell was coming from.
