Minutes to Lake Willoughby, Lake Memphremagog and other incredible lakes, hikes, etc. In between Jay Peak and Burke Mountain!
Log chalet looks over lakes and mountains and sits on 10 private acres with meadows and forest. French doors open out onto the wrap-around deck where you can gaze over the sweeping mountain views of every season. Sit outside in the screened-in porch with your cup of coffee and watch the sunrise and pour yourself a glass of wine to watch the sunset.
Looking to escape to the mountains to get a reprieve from it all? If withdrawal strikes, cell phone and high speed internet are available, and lovely villages of Newport, Derby, and Island Pond (with restaurants, shops, everything you need) are close by.

Summary: My group & I had a great time at the Grandview Chalet. Travis was a great host. Super easy to communicate with & prompt with responses to any questions we had. The house is only a short ~ 30 minute drive to Jay Peak and makes this a great location for folks looking to ride for a few days & enjoy the neighboring towns of Newport, etc..

Summary: This place is absolutely perfect. The views are stunning, the property is charming and has everything you need. There were five adults and three young children, and there was enough room for everyone to be comfortable. Travis was such an accommodating and responsive host before, during, and after our stay! We will definitely try to book this place for future stays!

Summary: The house is outstanding, totally lived up to expectations. The view is priceless, every sunset was worthy of a magazine cover. We took full advantage of the screened in porch when the sun went down. The only shortcoming worth noting was that the kitchen could have been outfitted a little more completely. The appliances were adequate, but we didn't have utensils for our family of 6. That being said, we would still recommend this home to anyone wanting a base camp to explore the Northeast Kingdom!

Summary: What you see in the photos, is better in person. Travis was there on a moment's notice. This is a great space to share with a family. Easily sleeps 10 people if one person doesn't mind the sofa. 2 full baths and one half bath. Observatory available for those who live the night sky. The negative, the best restaurant is Hoagie's. Tried several and food was bland or disgusting. Forget eating Chinese of Sushi. Maybe I should tell you I am from NYC and have lived there since 1973. Travis has provided a Weber gas grill and standard charcoal grill. I was staying a "long term" rental of 6 weeks, my needs are different from a weekend/week rental. In summary: this space is wonderful!
