Positive: nice staff, helpful with transport and other questions. not too much in the area, but it's s small suburb/area, so that doesn't reflect onto the hotel.
Negative: hotel is dated, but is what I expected from photos. The AC worked but was a little fickle, got too cold when turned down but then didn't work well when turned to 26+ setting

Positive: The breakfast was very generous and they were most kind to start breakfast a half hour earlier than usual, as we were going on a boat trip with an early pickup. They were very kind, warm and helpful
Negative: Regarding the general location, we went for a specific reason, a pre booked whale spotting trip - so consequently stayed in the area rather than commute from Bangkok, which others did- I don't think the area itself would be a particularly good destination to include on a tour, unless there was a special reason to visit. It was fine for us
