Positive: I really enjoyed my stay at Viale Gramsci. The elegant late-19th-century Neapolitan building is beautifully located on Viale Gramsci, just one block from the lungomare on Via Caracciolo, and combines historic charm with modern comfort. My room was spacious, quiet, and full of natural light. Patrizia was a wonderful hostess—warm, welcoming, and full of great suggestions.

Summary: Great stay, I will revisit it with my family!

Positive: Location was excellent, staff and communication excellent. Size of room excellent. Almost everything else was very very good and we would definitely stay again maybe in the big room near the front desk!

Negative: Beds were a little uncomfortable and a bigger fridge would be nice.

Positive: I liked the area; it was quiet, relatively close to Posillipo Beach. An excellent pizzeria and supermarket are within 5 minutes. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom and the room are clean. The cat is cute.

Negative: So many problems. - NO AIR CONDITIONING. The machine is there, but it is soooo very old, it is only a design element, that they can gaslight the guests who would like to use it: see, there is an AC, but at the moment, it is not working. If you read the reviews from 2024, the AC were also not working. I thought they had one whole year to repair, but they are still not working: I'm confident, the AC in this hostel will never ever work. (I got some refund because I complained about it, but booking.com, please remove the air conditioning from their room description, they only have a fan.) - The cleaning lady threw out my 3 face cream sample on the very first day, which I stored in the bathroom. This is UNACCEPTABLE. I always bring samples if I travel, because these samples are good for 2-3 days. Never ever throw anything out when the guests are still there. The cleaning lady cannot touch the guests' stuff, and never ever throws out anything they have, not even a piece of paper. The cleaning lady has one job: empty the garbage bin, but she was not capable even to do this: she threw out my creams, so I had to buy some full-size face creams - that's exactly what I wanted to avoid by using samples. (Not to mention the extra expense.) - The elevator only works with some euro coins. They wrote me on whatsapp, that they would provide me with coins (the rooms are on the 4th floor) but I never got any. So I should have paid for my elevator trips, because they just don't care.

Positive: The apartment is very spacious, with quality furniture, comfortable and with a historical design based on the building type. The area where it’s located it’a just amazing, you can easily find restaurants and cafeterias nearby, the port is very close and the historical buildings in the piazza del plebiscitos. The most beautiful location!
