Summary: Graemeshall House is an old manor house. Truly unique. It was the perfect spot for our visit to Orkney. John, the innkeeper was very hospitable , breakfasts were delicious. Our suite was charming. I would stay there again

Summary: Lovely old manor house, extremely well kept up. Rooms were quite large and well appointed. Breakfast was excellent as was the attention of John (owner/staff). Loved the Library.

Summary: Absolutely the perfect lodging! Huge rooms including the bathroom, refreshments in room 1st night, every detail taken care of, close to the sites we wanted to see, lovely setting, and a wonderful host.

Summary: This place is a dream! It has a large and beautiful library that guests are welcome to use. The breakfast is delicious and provides variety of your choice. The accommodations are not only beautiful, but also very spacious. There are 2 windows in the bedroom that we could open to let in a cool breeze. The bathroom is incredible. The history of the home is truly amazing as well. The host, John, was very helpful. I can't recommend this enough. We didn't want to leave.

Summary: A real joy to stay here. John, the host was very welcoming, and nothing appeared to be too much trouble. The whole experience was quality, warm and relaxing, so much so, we've booked another stay.

Summary: An historic home that was once the Bishop's Palace, situated right on the shore directly across from the Italian Chapel. It's a bit of a drive to the Neolithic sites, but not difficult and worth staying in this idyllic spot. John is a friendly, helpful and informative host. And he prepares a very good breakfast, to order. The bed was comfortable and the Laird's Suite was equipped with everything you could ask for. Our only disappointment was that we didn't have time to stay longer. And the library was an inspiration... Highly recommended!

Summary: Our host John was so kind and helpful about what to see while we’re there and restaurant recommendations. Our spacious and immaculate accommodations had a separate sitting room with complimentary drinks and snacks. The king sized bed had beautiful and comfortable linens. The bathroom was large and luxurious. The complimentary breakfast each morning was delicious and served in a pretty dining room with beautiful views of the property. We enjoyed our time in Orkney and staying at John’s place really added to our wonderful experience there. We highly recommend staying here!
