Welcome! Here we have a nicely appointed one bedroom condo near Purgatory Ski Resort. This little slice of heaven is located 26 miles north of Durango Colorado and is close to high mountain hiking trails, ghost towns, fishing and endless exploring. The condo has a fully stocked kitchen with new appliances for cooking; all you need is your ingredients. The bedroom has a new king bed, comfy sheets and covers. You can stream the TV in the bedroom and there is a convenient phone charging station on the nightstand. Our cozy living room has a pull-out queen bed for guests, also with new sheets and covers. There is a smart TV for streaming along with a DVD player for your viewing, and an additional phone charging station. Snuggle up in front of the fireplace in the living room area. Wood is provided with your stay. The bathroom and shower tile have been recently updated.
This lower-level condo has access to the outside through the beautiful patio area via gate access. This is an inside unit facing away from the highway, so you will not be bothered with road noise.
We have plenty of fun options for day trips near the condo. These include a relaxing soak and lunch at the Pagosa Hot Springs, the beautiful mountains of Telluride, historic Mesa Verde, and of course Silverton and Ouray which make this condo a great base camp for all your adventures in the beautiful San Juan mountains.
There are endless hiking trails, mountain biking trails, fishing, ATV and UTV trails, etc. Purgatory Ski Resort also has plenty to do in every season for the whole family. The town of Durango is 26 miles south with shopping, dining, rafting, walking trails, and our gorgeous Animas River. And of course, the biggest tourist attraction yet, the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad which departs from Durango and is complete with a full museum displaying this wonderful piece of history. Summary: The place was as described. We cooked all meals and had everything we needed. Location was convenient and the covered parking is awesome.

Summary: Great place. Good location. Big comfy bed. tub, ect. We ran out of TP and someone was there in 10 min with TP. All very good! I Would stay there again. but you need to know one thing. When you enter the hallway, it's like entering a 1970's casino. The smoke smell is strong. Not in the unit. You need to shut the door ASAP to avoid the smoke smell from entering. There are 16 units in the hall. All but two of those units say, "non-smoking." But those two units generate enough smoke to make you run for your door. So if you're hyper sensitive, avoid this place.

Summary: This was our second stay in this condo. Location is perfect for hiking in the San Juans or day trips to Silverton, Ouray, Ridgeway and Telluride. Accommodations were very clean and comfortable. Property manager, Chris, is quick to respond to any questions. We’ll definitely be back!

Summary: The condo was perfect for our Purgatory ski vacation! Loved the unit's location up one flight of stairs from the covered parking and at that end of the building. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The kitchen had more than enough cookware, tableware, utensils, and even leftover containers. There was a toaster, drip coffee maker, and filters plus a few pantry staples left by previous guests (salt, honey, garlic/herb seasoning, vegetable oil, oil spray, pancake syrup). Supply your own coffee. A variety of books and DVDs were in the condo, too. The hot tub adjacent to the lodge felt great after each day of skiing. Laundry truly is coin operated as noted in the details - $2 in quarters per wash or dry load in Maytag commercial units in a room off the covered parking area. Communication with Chris was prompt and thorough. We'd definitely stay here again.

Summary: Condo was as advertised. Clean, everything in good order. There is both outdoor and covered parking. Shuttle service to the ski area was reliable. Not mentioned but there are two hot tubs and a small dry sauna in the pool building, a nice bonus. Made for a good home base to ski Purgatory and relax afterwards. The extra foam pad for the sofa bed was a nice touch. Enjoyed our stay.
