Property is located on a small float plane sized lake off the Denali Highway on a private drive. Enjoy fishing, boating or just relaxing at your own boat launch and beach on this 3 acres gem. After your daily venture, relax on the deck, barbecue or jump in the hot tub. No matter what you do, you will always find yourself gazing in awe of the scenery. Prime Berry picking, Wildlife viewing with hiking or strolling right out your door. 15 Miles to Carlo Creek, 20 miles to the Grizzly and Denali National Park, with Glitter Gulch just to the north. Activities include Rafting, Flight seeing, Hiking, Northern lights(mid August-Mid September), Fishing, Hunting, dog sledding, the 135 mile Denali Highway or Denali National Park. Local guides and tours available or self guided. When booking please do not leave a day that is non-bookable on either side of your stay. If you do, we may call you and see if you can adjust your vacation plans or we may not be able to rent. We only have approximately 115 days that we can possibly book and if every guest left a day or two on either side that is un-bookable, we could potentially lose out on half our season. Summary: We had a great stay in Cantwell and appreciated the communications from the host family! Very grateful and blessed to stay here and enjoy Alaska. This location is super remote and perfect for a place that has perfect access to Denali National Park!

Summary: We loved this place!!! It is a beautiful remote home in the mountains surrounding Cantwell. The views from the deck are AMAZING!!! Home was well equipped and stocked - seasonings, paper products (less dishes), snacks, gas grill, bug spray, bear spray, etc. Host was very responsive to any questions during our visit. Make sure you grab groceries, etc before heading out as the closest store is north of the Denali park area. We were coming from the Anchorage area, so grabbed our food there. GREAT place to stay!

Summary: The host provided so much helpful information for our stay and the property description is accurate. This fit our group of 4 perfectly. The beds were very comfortable and the living room had plenty of seating. Eye masks were provided which was nice, but our group did find it hard to sleep with so much daylight coming in as blinds were not an option to close on all the windows. However, it may not be a problem for your group. Overall it was a nice stay and I would recommend.

Summary: Overall the house was clean and well presented. The check-in and check-out instructions were clear. The beds were clean and ready to use with lots of towels available. The bathroom, shower, sink, and toilet were clean. The hottub was clean and ready to use. The house had many great views with lots of windows (which was an issue for us since there's almost 24hrs of sunlight during the summer months and only about half the windows had a shades so the house stays well lit making it difficult to sleep). Also the paddle boat was filled with water and too heavy for us to safley flip over to empty out so we werent able to use it. Also worth noting is the shower space is small making it difficult to bath without bumping into things.

Summary: Superior, exceptionally well-appointed home. Remote enough to experience Alaska while remaining convenient to Denali. Lux-rustic feel. Very comfortable home - would have to say that this may be the best VRBO we have ever rented, and that's saying something.

Summary: We had a wonderful time staying at the lakeside chalet. The house was very clean, beautifully decorated, as well as plenty of detailed directions provided, in addition to communication as we arrived. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. They provided bath towels and also separate hot tub towels. They provided sleep masks if needed and had black out blinds on most of the windows. The kitchen was well-stocked with cookware. We enjoyed the hot tub-it was clean and easily accessible on the deck. The house is on a small lake, which we walked down to but we didn't use the paddleboat because the weather was chilly. We walked around the neighborhood in the morning and enjoyed the beautiful mountain views. It was about 30 minute drive to the Denali Visitor Center and a small town of Healy about 15 minutes north beyond that, since Cantwell itself is not a town. We would definitely recommend spending time at this Alaskan Lakeside Chalet.
