Our home is in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains. This is our second home and it is in the Lake George area, approximately 20 miles away. Our home is a 4 hour drive from JFK Airport in New York City and a 2-1/2 hour drive from Montreal. We are on three very private acres. There is a small lake at the end of our property. It is a large house with one bedroom on the ground floor with a private bath and jacuzzi and four more private bedrooms and two bathrooms on the upper level. There is an open deck in the front of the house and an enclosed porch in the rear. The kitchen and dining area are very large. There is a guest bathroom adjacent to the kitchen area. There is an attached two-car garage. There is a washer and dryer and a satellite television. There is a local hookup to the Internet via Wi-Fi. There is a wood burning stove in the living room and plenty of logs for your use. Our home is near skiing, boating, swimming, hiking and much more. We are 9 miles from Gore Mountain with more than 100 trails.This a perfect ski house for the winter. We are 30 miles from West Mountain and 1-1/2 hours from world famous Whiteface.

Owner will take care of the plowing, oil deliveries, satellite television, and utilities. They will be included in the rental price.

Summary: Two families (4 adults and 3 kids) stayed for three nights for an extended weekend of skiing at Gore Mountain. The house had more than enough room for us...in fact, another family could have been easily accommodated as well! The pictures do not do this house justice...it is bigger and nicer than the pictures show. The owners were friendly and immediately answered any questions we had. The master bedroom and bathroom are huge and all the other bedrooms were a good size too. If was nice having a half bathroom right off the kitchen. We were able to fit both cars in the garage and there was plenty of firewood for the wood stove in the family room. A great place to stay if you are heading to Gore!
