Positive: Very comfortable, staff very welcoming. The facilities all good and clean including the shared bathrooms.

Negative: The site is close to the road which is great for access but it does mean you can hear the cars going past.

Positive: The bed was comfortable and no loud neighbors. Good shower. No tv, but that made it easier to just sleep I guess.

Negative: Kurig coffee pot said needs descaling and just wasn't comfortable using it.

Summary: Easy check in, nice bed and shower so slept well.

Positive: Fantastic! The cabins are perfect, the location is perfect, and they are PET FRIENDLY! I have a large dog - mastiff, american building and pit bull mix... 85lbs... and my options are limited while traveling with him because so many places discriminate. I ended up staying at Gooseberry because I saw a review and the lady posted a photo of her pit bull... so I knew this was the right place to stay. I originally booked three nights and ended up extending my stay an extra night. I saw other large dogs, owners all super responsible and there was so much space to walk them and pick up after them. I couldn't be happier with Gooseberry Lodges and am already planning my return trip. If you're a large dog owner of bully breeds, you know that "pet friendly" is not always the case. I'm so happy to report that Gooseberry Lodges is VERY pet friendly and me and my dog felt very welcome!
