Positive: Really comfortable bed, great views and walks from the door, lovely listening to the birds in the morning. Great walk to lovely pub for breakfast and dinner. Great base for exploring the many footpaths. Host very friendly and full of useful local knowledge.

Negative: We would have liked it a bit warmer, as we got a bit soaked walking in the rain in December.

Summary: Slept like a log and ate a lot of good food 😊

Positive: The lodge is situated in beautiful surroundings. Its comfortable and has everything that you need. We woke up on our first morning to a family of Roe deer on the lawn 10 metres from the lodge. The Host Angie, is so welcoming and her love of where She lives and what She does is infectious. Probably the best place we have ever stayed.
