Positive: I was a little nervous booking an apartment so far away but I trust Booking. If you ever go to Venice I highly recommend Gondola House. The house itself is like a luxury apartment that feels like home. The location is in a perfect quiet neighbour hood only 20 min bus ride from Venice city. There is a full grocery store 2 min walk and delicious pizzeria by the bus stop which is a 3 minute walk from the house. Monica and Massimo have every questioned answered before you ask and language is not an issue. They go above and beyond to make our stay a wonderful memory. Like staying with family. No wonder they are a very highly recommend on booking.

Positive: I chose Gondola House because of the previous reviews and I am happy I did. The location was perfect for us, two adults and two kids, 11 and 9 years old. Away from the noise and tourists of Venice but close enough to be there by bus in 20 mins. It’s 13 mins from the airport, if you have an early flight is perfect. On the main street opposite the bus stop, there is a butcher shop, bakery and fruit/veggie store. On the opposite direction there is a big groceries store, everything in walking distance from the house. We were welcomed by Massimo, the owner. He showed us around the house and gave us tons of useful information and tickets to go to Venice. He advised us on a transportation strike scheduled for Friday, we were able to switch days on our plans. The house is big, clean, comfortable, everything you need for a vacation. Decorated with style, thanks to Monica, I am guessing. We easily made breakfast and dinner at the house. Parking is on site. We drove to Cortina d’ Ampezzo the first day for a nice hike near Sorapis lake, second day in Venice walking around, gondola ride and view of the city from the tower in Piazza San Marco. Third day trip to Mount Grappa and Lego expo for the kids (Mostra di Costruzioni di Mattoncini Lego). Last day was Murano, Burano and Torcello tour. This is our third time in Venice and we are looking forward in coming back in the future and for sure we will stay at Gondola house again.

Positive: I loved everything about this property. The host went above and beyond by providing a list of restaurants and grocery stores in the area. They provided a list of every tourist attraction in town and gave step by step instructions on how to use public transportation to reach them. I’ve traveled quite a bit and this is the best experience I’ve ever had in a private apartment rental. I highly recommend this place to everyone who is visiting Venice. This will definitely be my go to anytime I’m in Venice!
